Modula Green

It is a new optional device that allows re-using the energy generated by the descent movement of the lift, otherwise dispersed in heat form.

A special inverter inserted between the machine switch and the electrical board, performs a double function of energy stabiliser and generator.

Along with stabilizing the power supply voltage of the machine, Modula Greenfurther respects the environment, providing an energy savings of up to 40% and a short-term return on investment.

Tray extension and partitions

Partitions are useful for containing or dividing material in outlined trays. The extensions for the tray’s edges are used to contain bulky materials.

Partitions and dividers can be used to obtain maximum flexibility in re-configuring the trays when requirements change. The trays are able to be configured to have slotted perimeter walls, with slotting on 20 mm (0.79”) increments to utilize the partitions and dividers.

The number of slot locations varies depending on the dimensions of the tray, whereas the amount of partitions and dividers used varies depending on your individual requirements.

Label printer

Among the available accessories of the automatic storage and retrieval system: it prints customised labels with wanted information relating to the stored material.

During picking or replenishment operations using the Modula, the operator can enter the desired information through the co-pilot operator console, and immediately print the information out in label form.

Barcode Reader

Ideal instrument for carrying out further checks on the item being picked, or vice-versa, inside automated shelving Modula. It can be used as confirmation of a put-down/picking order and for user login on the machine.

Through the use of barcode readers Modula is able to identify all operators and supply customized access to trace all picking operations.

Without the limitations of cable type devices, the wireless barcode reader offers a safer more effective environment with great mobility, while providing reliable data collection outside the range of the station.

Piece count scale

Useful for tracing materials: provides, at every moment, the exact number of pieces present in automatic cabinet and the input and output flow of materials.

Able to identify the number of pieces depending on the unit weight of the individual piece, is ideal for storing large amounts of components with reduced dimensions and essential to the operator during picking and put-down for quickly selecting the necessary amount. The scales can be single platform with a capacity of 3/6/15/30 Kg or double platform, used for weighing items with different features.

Paneled structures for Outdoor Installations

These are structures that allow the Modula to be installed outdoors to further use vertical space. Included with this option is the self supporting structure and the exterior paneling.

Systems for advanced picking: LED bars, alphanumerical bars, Put to Light systems.

These are options that make the picking operations extremely quick and easy.

X-AXIS LED BARS

Thanks to the aid of the X-Axis LED Bar, the compartment of interest is identified during picking or replenishment operations.

Its function is to aid the operator in indentifying the item to be picked or placed, by visually indicating the correct position of the item across the X-Axis (width) of the tray.

ALPHANUMERICAL BARS Easily identify the position of an item on the tray and any additional information from a high resolution display.

The Display Bar has all the advantages of the X-Axis LED Bar with the additional benefit to display further information such as an item’s name, description, part number, etc.

PUT TO LIGHT

Thanks to luminous displays in correspondence of a put-down bay, it is possible to address the picking movement on numbered bays in order to organise the picking areas and group material intended for the same order, eventually coming from difference machines, on a single transit area, called Bay.

Sliding Co-Pilot Console

Helps the operator during the intensive picking operations because it can be moved from one side of the picking bay to the other, near the actual picking point, making picking/replenishment operations at the tray even easier.

Manual trolley

The manual trolley allows operators to completely remove a tray from the unit. Tray can be moved around for off line inspections on parts or make the parts available in remote areas of the facility, directly from the tray, while operators can keep the Modula running for other pickings.

Motorised automatic door

The industrial vertical carousel Modula Lift, can be supplied with motorised automatic door, which is available in all configurations and machine models of the Modula Lift range.

Its use is mainly aesthetical as well as to protect the inside of the machine; it becomes compulsory for the internal double bay or for bay (external or internal) at a height machine configuration. The door unit is mechanically composed by a drive shaft, connected to the drive system through a drive belt, which acts on the rack placed at the sides of the door, activating the opening and closing movement.

There are also two micro switches that, if activated by the corresponding cams, inform the control unit that the automatic door is open or closed. The electromechanical part is made of an asynchronous engine controlled by a 0.55 KW inverter.

Badge Reader

The Modula Lift has, among the other various optionals, a USB Badge Reader also, directly connected to the Co-pilot by means of USB port.

The used model is the MSR210U, which results being the ideal instrument if wanting to have a further control on the user login. In this way, the operator must swipe own company badge to be able to access the machine, thus preventing access to unauthorised operators, in case the classical Login method by entering a password, is not sufficient. The MSR210U Badge Reader is able to offer the user a cards reader solution that complete many applications. In fact, it is possible to read single, double or triple traces enabling the ISO, AAMVA and DMV cards reading. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it is possible to apply them directly on to the Co-pilot and connect them to its USB port, for further use ergonomics.

The trays are particularly suitable for 600mm deep shelving, vertical carousels and for pallet racking converted into shelving. Their use in these applications will significantly improve shelf storage efficiency by maximizing the use of its area and volume, and by providing flexible, easy to find stock locations. It is worth noting that 600mm deep shelving is 43% and 21% more floor area efficient than 300mm and 400mm deep shelving. Also, 600mm deep shelving with the same storage area requires significantly less material and labour. It is therefore cheaper to set up..

Times-2 Rotary Shelving

Times-2® Office Storage Systems
Times-2® is the original Rotary Filing unit for office storage, with added safety, and can be best described as 2 filing cupboards place back to back rotating within an outer, modular cabinet. Only one access point is needed. To obtain files from either side simply rotate the inner cube by using the foot pedal. The pedal, which provides positive locking, enables the user to operate the unit with one hand, the other hand potentially holding records to be filed. The unit has 4 fixed positions (2 open and 2 closed) and does not require alignment, using both hands, prior to use. The foot pedal aids productivity prevents free spin and therefore any potential Health & Safety hazard. As a modular system, each run of Times-2® is built with an initial ˜Starter Unit™”. “Add-on™” units are then fitted to the ˜Starter™” to provide the required capacity. When the filing system grows, further Add-on units are fitted, as necessary.

The unique back-to-back, double-depth design of Rotary Filing Cabinets holds as much material as four standard filing cabinets but utilizes only half the floor space. The capacity of Times-2 is unparalleled by traditional drawer file standards.

Space Planning Capacity Applications:

NEXT TO WALL OR PANELTimes-2® Rotary Filing Unit when positioned next to traditionally-framed walls or open-office furniture systems, increases both capacity and access to stored information. Capacity will increase from a minimum of 40% to a maximum of 200% growth. Faster retrieval times are standard with Times-2®. Fifty percent of all documents are immediately available to the operator. The other half a gentle rotation away. To allow for full rotation of Times-2, a rotation space must be designed into each floor plan. The rotation space can be concealed with the addition of a wall closing strip. Rotation space along top can be concealed with the addition of an extended canopy top.

BACK-TO-BACKTier-per-tier, Time-2® Rotary Filing Units, when placed in a back-to-back configuration, delivers the maximum possible storage capacity in the defined floor space. The secret is the elimination of entire aisleways-yet access is never compromised. Half of the stored material is still available for immediate retrieval, and the other half remains a gentle rotation away. The rotation space between back-to-back units may be planned as either single or double-depth. Appropriately sized wall-closing strips are available for each dimension. Extended canopy tops are also available to conceal the rotation space from above. In shorter heights, custom woodtops are also an attractive option.
Access Applications:

ROOM DIVIDERIn addition to filing and storage capacity gains, Times-2® Rotary Filing Units delivers cost reduction and productivity benefits. When used as a room divider Times-2® defines departmental space, eliminates the cost of construction or furniture panels, and still provides increased access to all stored materials. The dual foot pedal option must be specified in this application. The double-depth design of Times-2® means that both sides of the unit are accessible simultaneously when used as a room divider. When closed, access is denied to both sides.

The max tray payload is applaible to the entire range of tray widths. Safe and ergonomic, Modula OneTon allows operators to perform loading and picking of goods with utmost precision and safety. The operators can work with internal or external bay, with single or double delivery level; every choice guarantees top safety standards for the operators thanks to specific mechanical barriers and light curtains. When choosing the external bay configuration, the Modula OneTon makes it extremely easy to work with heavy items, also in combination with external hoists, cranes and robotic arms. Thanks to its height (starting at 2.4 m up to 7.0 m) the Modula Slim allows you to save up to 90% of the occupied floor space thus adapting to industrial environments, shops, deposits, and small storage spaces. The industrial carousel Modula Slim adapts perfectly to different work environments, while responding to individual requirements and saving in terms of space and investments.

MODULA Vertical Lift

MODULA® automatic storage warehouse saves you time and personnel in picking operations: the material is stored inside the drawers of the vertical storage system and traced automatically. The drawers are picked up by an automatic lift and deposited in picking bays. These systems consist of two rows of supports which contain trays that are transported by an automated elevator from the supports to the picking bay.
The elevator moves vertically in the center between the two rows of supports. The high density storage warehouse is controlled by a hardware and software system that is efficient and easy to use.

Modula Bay Options

Internal or external picking bays, with single or dual level delivery. Available access port on multiple levels.

The external picking bay provides maximum performance thanks to the ergonomics of the working space and also increases the overall safety level to operators. The external picking bay feature also provides the ability for overhead picking, allowing for the use of external picking aids, such as robotic manipulator arms, cranes, etc. to more ergonomically handle products. The smaller unit footprint required for units with an internal picking bay can further recover valuable floor space if the available area is particularly narrow.
Internal or external picking bay units equipped with dual level tray delivery provide a very high picking speed, eliminating operator wait time between picks and increasing pick rates by about 30%. While the operator is picking product from one tray, the unit automatically retrieves and stages the next requested tray and then delivers it to the second delivery location. Operators are then guided in picking and replenishment operations conveniently by the unit’s colour touchscreen console.

MA – MAD (MORE DETAILS)

The MA version, with 1.900mm wide drawers in depths of 654 or 857mm, is able to stock, with high handling speed many different kinds of materials such as spare parts, bolts and nuts, hardware etc. It is ideal for applications from distribution and retail sale to manufacturing. In fact, while the operator picks from one drawer, the system is retrieving the next drawer in queue. This helps avoids long waiting time between picking. As for the Modula range, the MA version has 3 different possibilities of load capacities: 250, 500 and 750 kg for each drawer, keeping the high performances of speed and managing of inventory.

MC – MCD (MORE DETAILS)

MC version is equipped with 2.500mm wide drawers in 2 depths, 654 and 857mm. It is the ideal vertical machine for managing high volumes and in the meantime, assures a very high handling speed. The positioning of picking bays can be internal or external and it is possible to have height up to 14m high. As for all Modula models, the MC version gets 3 different loads of charge: 250, 500 and 750 kg for each drawer, keeping high performance of speed and managing inventory.

MX – MXD (MORE DETAILS)

The MX version, with 3.100mm wide drawers in 2 depths of 654 and 857mm, is able to stock, quickly and efficiently, different kinds of materials such as spare parts, tools, bolts and nuts, hardware etc. Modula MX is characterized by new technological features that allow dynamic drawer managing and a total flexibility in the internal configuration, for example the positioning of picking bays that can be internal or external. It is possible to reach heights up to 14m high. As for all Modula models, it offers 3 different possibilities of load capacities: 250, 500 and 750 kg for each drawer, keeping high the performance of speed and managing of the inventory.

ML – MLD (MORE DETAILS)

ML version is equipped with 4.100 wide drawers in 2 depths, 654 and 857mm. It is the ideal vertical machine for managing high volumes and in the meantime, assures a very high handling speed. The positioning of picking bays can be internal or external and it is possible to have height up to 46′ high. As for all Modula models, the ML version gets 3 different loads of charge: 250, 500 and 750 kg for each drawer, keeping high performance of speed and managing inventory.
